Mfezi Security Services was founded in 1997 by three former SAP members who had
an average of 18 years of service in the police force . Louis, Arthur and
Arthur Lathleiff (Snr). Mfezi Security Services started with 6 security officers
and has grown to 220 security officers. The company is registered with PSIRA.

We specialize in the following services: Security officers, Wage payouts and Asset
in Transit (We are the proud owners of Protea Coin AIT Franchise Richards Bay for all
AIT requirements). We operate in the Melmoth, Ulundi, Eshowe, Gingindlovu, Nkandla, Babanango, Vryheid, Mtunzini, Richardsbay, Empangeni, Mtubatuba, Hluhluwe, Mkuze, Pongola, Mahlabathini and Nongoma Areas. Since we were founded, Mondi Business Paper, Sappi and Pride Milling have been our major clients. Our main AIT clients range from: Ikhwezi Foods, KFC, Build It Spar, Mr Price, Clicks, Dunn's
and various Petrol Stations.

By providing highly effective guard, cash-in-transit and armed response services, we are able to provide a professional and cost effective service to our clients. The well being of our staff and clients is priority and is achieved by upholding high moral, ethical and legal standards in all operations.

Security Officers

We utilize Grade A - E guards. Our officers are screened properly during pre-employment and undergo pre-employment tests. All our Security Officers are paid according to the Wage Determination Act. We are very strict on discipline and follow correct disciplinary guidelines set out by the Basic Conditions of Employment Act. We have a good working and grievance procedure. We specialize in guarding services, doing access and shrinkage control as well as forest patrols. In the retail
business we achieved successes in prevention of shrinkages. Some of our
Clients' shrinkages decreased with almost 70% in a period of 7 months. All our
Security Officers receive in-service training. They belong to a recognized
National Bargaining Counsel. We also utilize an independent labour consultant (FEOSA) to assist us with labour issues such as Departmental Hearings.
