Mfezi Security offers the following
Security Services...
Asset in transit (Protea Coin Group Richardsbay)
Since December 2007 we have taken over the PROTEA COIN AIT Franchise for the Zululand Area. Our Service Area stretches from Mandini to Pongola and Hlabisa up to Eshowe. We utilize 8 x Armour Plated vehicles which adhere to SABS standards and our Insurers Lloyds of London. We are also insured by Lloyds of London for Assets in Transit and Public Liability. We are the only Company that is giving their officers on-
going shooting training at least once every 3 months. Our officers are equipped
with LM 4 , AR15 semi –automatic rifles, 9 mm pistols or 12 gauge shotguns as well
as bullet proof vests.They all are equipped with two way radio's.
Plantation security
During forestry patrols we apprehended timber thieves on different occasions and
prevented forest fires. Our fire tower operators have been very effective in
manning Mondi Business Paper, CTC and Sappi fire towers in Melmoth and
Babanango. Mondi Timber movements from Plantations to Mill are also controlled
by Mfezi Security. We have assisted in fire fighting and received positive feed
back from our Clients. All Mondi plantations are patrolled by response teams
that are utilizing LDV’s.
Farm Security (Farm Watch)
We are performing farm security and conservancy work on a random basis at all
Melmoth Farms as well as Mondi and Sappi estates. We have our one reaction unit
attending to all complaints on farms and other clients. This unit had great
successes in the arrest of housebreakers, murderers as well as common thieves.
This unit also visits farms regularly. They also have their own informer’s
network and work close with the SAPS.
A monthly report on general security is submitted. In the event of any
incident a visit as well as report will be made to the Manager.
